ACTUALLY HIRED

So many jobs. So few hires.ActuallyHired.com

About ACTUALLY HIRED

That's Bob. He is the mascot, he does not speak on the videos, and he would like you to know he is fine. Mostly.

Nothing to pay. Nothing to buy. Just people sharing what happened to them, and learning from the ones who got ACTUALLY HIRED. No fees, no courses, no paid listings, no ads. It costs nothing to read, log or post.

What is this?

ACTUALLY HIRED is for people who send hundreds of job applications and hear nothing back but auto-replies. The official numbers say there are millions of open jobs. Members log what they apply to and what happens next, and the site adds it all up, so anyone can compare the official story with what job hunters actually see.

When a member is ACTUALLY HIRED, they tell us how, and those stories are the only ones we learn from. Anyone can say anything they want (within the rules), but the lessons come only from people who were ACTUALLY HIRED.

Our promise about money

We take no money from anyone. Nobody is hiring us either.

No ads, no affiliate links, no paid listings for employers, no recruiters paying for attention. If that ever changes, this page will say so, with the date.

The official figures

Beside members' totals, the home page shows the official count of job openings for your country, from the body that publishes it, with its date. We copy each figure by hand when the source publishes.

CountryJob openingsForSource
United States7,523,000September 2026US Bureau of Labor Statistics, Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) (copied 6 November 2026)

"Not yet filled in" means we have not copied that figure yet; we never put in a number we did not copy from the source.

How we count

Every number on the site comes from members' records, counted the same way everywhere, so the numbers agree with each other:

Right now: 0 applications from 0 members; a human answered 0 of them (0%); 0 members told a hired story.

The rules

What we keep

To sign in you give an email address, which nobody else ever sees. Your applications are private: only you see them, and they feed the totals. Your postings, hired stories, lobby posts and replies are public, under your screen name.

To stop abuse we keep a simple log of visits: your internet address and the rough town it belongs to, the pages you open, and your account if you are signed in. Only the people who run the site can see it. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for ads, and we delete each record after 90 days.

Towns come from IP Geolocation by DB-IP. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted sooner, use Write to Bob.

What you add belongs to everyone

Everything members add in public is shared under the licence Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0.

Who made this?

A job hunter with a keyboard, and Bob. You can write to us on Write to Bob.
